About KSSA (the Korean Society of Sydney, Australia)

 

The Korean Society of Sydney, Australia inc.,(KSSA) was established in 1968. KSSA primarily serves the 100,000 local Koreans living in New South Wales and Sydney metropolitan Area and acts as the umbrella organization for over 100 professional, educational, religious, and trade organizations.

 

As a non-profit organization, we dedicates to serving the various needs of  Korean-Australians in Sydney. KSSA endeavors to protect the rights of local Koreans and assist them in overcoming any possible difficulties they may encounter, thereby helping them to achieve their dreams. As well as coordinating community activities, educational and cultural activities, and social services for the Korean-Australia community of NSW. KSSA also cooperates with various other district and ethnic organizations to further good-will and harmony between the many groups that make up the colorful and elaborate mural of Sydney. KSSA is located at 82 Brighton Ave. Croydon Park NSW 2133, inner west of Sydney, our doors are open to everyone!


Our mission

 

The mission of the KSSA is to promote Korean culture, to help develop a positive image for Koreans and Korean-Australians, and to support the communities we serve. We strive to strengthen the unity of the Korean Australians in Sydney, to promote social and cultural events in order to share our ethnic heritage with the Australian public, and to serve as a liaison in addressing societal issues affecting Korean Australians in Sydney.


Our Objectives


KSSA shall recognize and address activities of interest for Korean-Australians Alliances and an active KSSA network will be encouraged and as a unified body of members KSSA shall:

   ▷ Create a viable network within the Korean-Australians community  and recognize the accomplishments of Korean-Australians in Australia.
  ▷ Act as a bridge that will enhance Korea-Australia relations.
  ▷ Identify business opportunities for individuals with Korea-Australia background.
  ▷ Create a multi-ethnic, multi-religion community where Korean-Australians can preserve and share the Korean culture.
  ▷ Build a sustainable communication media for the Korean-Australians community.

Location and Acesss


The KSSA is located at 82 Brighton Ave Croydon Park NSW 2133. There are vast free parking lots available


Busieness Hours


KSSA is open 9:00 - 5:00, Monday through Friday. The office is closed on public holidays. In addition, the office sometimes closes temporarily when the staff is hosting programs in outside locations.
